Irradiance Calibration Service for Mightex HRS- Series Spectrometers (P/N: CAL-SPC-AICETC).

Wavelength re-calibration is usually unnecessary for Mightex’s spectrometers, as the spectrometer’s design has superb temperature and long-term stability.

NIST traceable irradiance calibrations can be performed on the following system configurations – please note that the fiber patch cord and/or the cosine corrector need to be ordered separately :

a)      HRS-series spectrometer with a fiber patch cord as input.

b)      HRS-series spectrometer connected to a fiber patch cord which in turn is connected to a ¼” cosine corrector as input.

Even though you may ship in your own fiber patchcord and/or cosine corrector, to avoid possible incompatibilities we strongly recommend you purchase Mightex fiber patch cords and cosine correctors.

In our calibration lab a NIST-traceable radiometric calibration light source will be connected to the above systems to produce a calibration file. The calibration file will be automatically loaded when you run the spectrometer software.

After irradiance calibration, the fiber and Cosine corrector should not be removed. We recommend re-calibrate the system every 12 months or whenever the fiber or Cosine corrector is disconnected from the system.
